Be a traveller, not a tourist
*'Be a Traveler, Not a Tourist'*
Traveling is an experience that can change how we see the world.
Meaning and Comparision:
Tourist: Often visits known landmark attractions and follows itinerary. They focus more on making memories through clicking pictures and visiting places listed.
Traveler: Engages little deep with the culture and community they visit. They seek to understand local customs, try local foods, and explore places not listed.
Metaphorically, if we compare our life as a journey, it’s on us whether we want to be travelers and dive deeper into the experiences. Learn many things like openmindness, cultural respect, appreciating diversities, and exploration to off beat paths and create own values, which may be unusual. Or we want to be tourists, coming in the world, tick marking major milestones as age and state (status) increases.
